Clipper Anderson
CLIPPER ANDERSON

Clipper Anderson is one of the Northwest's leading bassists. Playing all styles on acoustic and electric bass, Clipper is a composer, studio musician, vocalist, and educator. He was described in Seattle's premier jazz magazine Earshot as "a player for the connoisseur to savor." The list of recordings on which Clipper appears is both long and impressive. In 2005 alone, his bass is heard on CD releases by Ben Thomas, Greta Metassa, the Amy Stephens Group, and Bogey Vujkov's "Comin' Up For Air." He has performed with jazz artists Michael Brecker, Randy Brecker, Terry Gibbs, Peter Erskine, Bob Berg, James Moody, Jack Jones, Paquito D'Rivera, and Buddy DeFranco. Clipper appears at jazz festivals throughout the Northwest and Canada and has been a featured guest artist annually at the Buddy DeFranco Jazz Festival at the University of Montana and the Port Townsend (WA) Jazz Festival. He currently teaches jazz bass studies at Pacific Lutheran University.
   
Terry Aspiras

Seattle native Terry Aspiras has performed with various local bands over the years including Bottomline, Dr. Funk, and Cole'lition. She started studying classical piano at the age of six and turned to jazz while at the University of Washington. She enjoys teaching piano to students of all ages.
   
Jay Douglas
JAY DOUGLAS

Funk/rock/jazz drummer Jay Douglas is well regarded as a premier drummer in the Northwest music scene. He started playing drums at an early age, and has played with such names as The Drifters, The Platters, David Keys, Dr. Funk, Heart's Roger Fisher, Darren Motamedy, and many more. He performed in the first season of Legends in Concert, Seattle's 206, and the Seahawks Sea Pit Orchestra in the early 90s. Former owner of a drum shop, Jay has taught drums and percussion for more than 15 years. He currently teaches at the Woodshed Drum Studio in Tacoma, Washington, and is a member of the Wailers Performing Arts Foundation Mentorship for Kids music program.
   
Dajari Makena
DAJARI MAKENA

Dajari Makena is a Northwest native and is no stranger to the Northwest music scene. He has been playing percussion since high school and has been singing for just as long. Dajari's musical style has been heavily influenced by Poncho Sanchez, Sheila E., Carlos Santana, and many other Latin and Brazilian artists. Dajari was a back-up vocalist with George Michael at his concerts in Tacoma, Washington, and Vancouver, B.C. He has played percussion for many national gospel acts, and is an in-demand studio musician.
